Tara Ostempowski and Andrew Logie were married on Saturday June 10th, in Elma, New York at St. Gabriel’s Church.
We started the day out at Tonawanda Castle. The girls prepared in one of the upper floors of the spacious and historic building. There was plenty of room, comfortable seating, and great architecture. The makeup and hair team did their work while the banquet hall was set up below.
A Little Info about the Bride and Groom
Tara and Andrew met at a Buffalo gathering in Florida. Their friendship– which was based on openness, honesty, and trust– blossomed into a romantic relationship. They feel they can lean on each other though any challenges.
Tara loves hockey, bowling, teaching, and her animals. Andy loves flying/collecting model helicopters, football, and hockey. In fact, he proposed to Tara during Bills/Dolphins viewing party. A cake was brought out at halftime, which Tara thought was for her birthday, but instead she was shocked to read, “Will you marry me?” and turned around to find Andy on one knee. What a wonderful surprise!
At St Gabriel’s , the groom and his men were nervously waiting. Best man and brother Kevin shared some words of wisdom with Andy.
The Reverend led a beautiful service with readings by several family and candle lighting ceremony.
The sun was shining brightly all day. It was a very warm spring day– a reminder that summer was just around the corner. We went to Knox Farms to take the formal pictures in the quiet and picturesque park. It was nice to drive through the special entrance deeper into the hidden parks of the park. There were plenty of nice backdrops. Wooden fences, climbing ivy, and old buildings.
We even met a very persistent cat friend who insisted on being included in the pictures.
Back at the Castle, the guests congregated for a cocktail hour in the cool lounge. The dinner and service were superb at Tonawanda Castle.
The Logies will be returning to the sunshine state to begin their married life together–the future is bright for this couple.
