Wedding on the Grand Lady
Chelsea King and Joe Sobaszek were married on Saturday September 2, 2017 in Buffalo, NY aboard the Grand Lady. The day was overcast and stormy looking, but surprisingly we didn’t have any rain and the water was not as choppy as expected. There was even a small glimpse of the sun at dusk.
We started the day at the Hampton Inn with the ladies. Chelsea and the girls did a great job on their own hair and makeup. We were very impressed. They were dressed and ready a good amount of time before the departure schedule so that allowed us ample time to take bridal portraits with mom as well as bridesmaids photos. The bride was wearing a princess tiara.
About the Couple
Chelsea and Joe are extremely nice people, which shouldn’t be a big surprise as they are both in a helping occupation– Chelsea is a nurse and Joe is a police officer. The bridal bouquet had a white horseshoe tied on for good luck and Chelsea’s love of horses.
This was our first wedding on board a boat. We were in safe hands we were surrounded by nurses and police officers. The ceremony was officiated by the Captain of the ship on the back deck while we were still docked. Soon after we headed out into the harbor.
The view of Buffalo was phenomenal. We saw all of the new renovations at canalside, the Labatt grain mills, the light house, and the city skyline just as it started to light up. The crew was very helpful and courteous. The food was tasty, just like any other buffet-style reception venue, which surprised us. As soon as we returned to land, we started the first dance.
Congratulations Joe and Chelsea! On behalf of Fallesen Photography, I wish you both a life filled with love and happiness.
